That’s a
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
on top of a Ford T chassis.
It’s powered by a Chevy 283 wit a four-barrel (pun intended) with 230hp and has a TH350 transmission. it’s not been moved for 30 years, so you may want to do some maintenance before driving it.
I guess they must have emptied the barrels before having the idea.
Okay, so that exists, nevermind. Continuing scrolling... what?
Yes, that’s a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , it is powered by a 380hp Chevy big block and also has a TH350 transmission. Oh, and the accelerator is the rotary dial.
These were apparently built in the 70's by Gerry Nimz in Burlington, Canada.
Seriously WTF? Who puts an auto on a hotrod?
Don’t do drugs people.

Everyone puts an auto on a hotrod? What are you talking about?

That’s because for a while hot rods were just about blowing minds and nothing else.
I also have significant doubts about the presence of any model T parts in that chassis.

I’d say the barrel T is a steal for that many European funny monies.

yes, sadly.
It was more meant as a joke, since it is really not the auto that is shocking on those cars.
But really, why put on high performance engines and dragster tires if you’re going to feed all those horses to the trans?

You may be able to register it in Great Britain. Anywhere else is more than compromised. Expensive lawn decoration.

It’s what the ad says , then again, there really isn’t much left hat makes this look remotely like a car.

Looks like maybe the steering wheel. That may be the only part.

Most people drag race with autos too.

What’s the point of drag racing in an auto? You might as well put both cars on a dyno, then a scale, and compare the stats.

Because an auto shifts faster. I think drag racing is dumb anyway. Fun, but dumb. It's the engineering that interests me about racing, not the drivers.

If you’re interested in the engineering of racing, you really should look into how they build the top fuel cars. The parts they build that engine with are insane
Plus they don’t really have a transmission, just a clutch that grabs more and more down the track.

In alot of the high powered applications, not just drag racing, they use good ol’ two speed powerglides (auto). They are quick, simple, and can put down a lot of power.

A lot of automatics don’t get the recognition they deserve tbh. Sure some are terribly unresponsive but not all are.
